The aim of the Essendon Historical Society is to study, record and promote the historical heritage of Essendon and District and to maintain and restore the historic Courthouse building. Owing to confined storage space the collection is mainly limited to material relevant to the history of the local area and its residents. The Society welcomes donations particularly of photographs and printed material such as programs, brochures.etc. The collection holds many items in connection with family history, and the history of local houses and organisations.
